Encouraged by the resounding success of the first ever GESIA Awards function; GESIA organised  

The Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association (GESIA) presented the 2nd Annual GESIA Awards 2009 at a glittering function in the city on Thursday the 19th March 2009 at Panchratna Party Plot, Ahmedabad.

Dr. Ganesh Natrajan, Chairman of NASSCOM, presided over the function as the Chief Guest of the Awards night. He lauded GESIA's efforts to serve ICT Industry of Gujarat. Mr. Raj Kumar, IAS – Secretary, Dept. of Science & Technology – Govt. of Gujarat addressed the gathering. The Gujarat IT Directory Website was also launched in august presence of Dr. Ganesh Natarajan and Mr. Raj Kumar alongwith GESIA President, Mr. Nirav Shah. This website will serve as a reference point of the ICT industry in the State.

In attendance were the crème-de-la-crème of leading companies including Promoters, Directors, CEOs, CFOs, Presidents and Top Executives of over 300 Software, BPO/KPO/ITES, Telecom & Electronics companies of Gujarat State & from other parts of the country. The awards were instituted by Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association (GESIA) and promise to be a much awaited and esteemed annual event with a view to recognize and encourage deserving companies in ICT sector in Gujarat.
