GESIA announces new Office Bearers to setup CTO Club, Skill Development Centers, Research Lab

A series of event such as Leadership Series, National IT Conclave, Learning and Development Events, International Buyer-Seller Meets also on the cards With newly-elected office bearers at the helm of affairs, Gujarat Electronics & Software Industries Association (GESIA) is all set to expand its scope of activity in order to boost growth of electronics &ICT industry in the state.

The members of the association have recently elected Mr. Jay Ruparel, Co-founder & Executive Director, Azure Knowledge Corporation Pvt. Ltd. unanimously as the new President of GESIA. The President announced his new team consisting of Mr. Vivek Ogra, Director, Technology & Innovation, VBSOFT (India) Ltd and Mr. Maulik Bhansali, Chief Executive Officer, NetWeb Software Pvt. Ltd as the new Senior Vice President & Vice President of the association respectively. Mr. T. P. S. Oberoi, Executive Director, Cygnet Infotech Pvt. Ltd will look after the activities of GESIA as Hon. Secretary, whereas Mr. Bharat Patel, Director, Yudiz Solutions Pvt. Ltd will be the Hon. Jt. Secretary. Mr. Rajiv Bhatia, President & Country Head, QX KPO Services Pvt. Ltd will be the new Hon. Treasurer of the organization.

The new Executive Council (EC) of GESIA consisting of 23 members has come up with a vision document for the association along with a blueprint on the objectives and activities for the next one year after internal deliberations. This includes establishment of GESIA CTO Club, GESIA Skill Development Centers across the state, setting up of Research Lab, initiation of GESIA Leadership Series, National IT Conclave, Learning and Development Events & International Buyer-Seller Meets.

The main objective of setting up GESIA CTO Club is to link the business users of technology across different industries to the ICT industry. This club will include CTOs/CIOs/Tech Heads of various industries as its members and link them to GESIA and its members. The establishment of Skill Development Centers will give GESIA members access to pool of trainable manpower in leading institutes of the state by allowing them to run specialized skill development programs within the institute’s campus.

GESIA would like to give a thrust to research activities across the state by taking up various research studies related to Electronics & ICT industry. GESIA will also undertake activities to encourage research and innovation within the industry and well as in academia related to Electronics/ICT. While initiation of GESIA Leadership Series will facilitate exclusive interaction between the members of GESIA and industry leaders, at State / National / International level and in turn, provide a platform for exchange of experience and technical know-how, the one-day National IT Conclave will enable the members to get acquainted with the future directions, trends, opportunities and learning across key ICT sectors through lectures by some national & international industry stalwarts. Apart from that a series of learning and development events will also be organized for the senior leadership team of GESIA members such as CFOs / Finance Heads, CMOs / Marketing Heads, HR Heads, CIOs / CTOs / Technology Heads and other key functional heads of the organization.

This kind of events will discuss the most relevant topics for the ICT industry. The International Buyer-Seller Meets, to be organized by GESIA, will enable the member companies to participate in international delegations, both inward and outward, as well as buyer-seller meets – nationally and internationally. Schedule for all of these events will be finalized in due course.
